Painting on vinyls is a recent passion of mine. Its been going on for about 4 months now, and I have already established a name for myself at my school for them. Having painted a few for various teachers, all of their students are able to see my work as the teacher has them displayed in their classrooms. I only recently started selling my records which I originally was doing just for fun. Students and teachers came up to me during school and asked me if I would paint a record for them. I began getting enough requests that I decided to start charging. Now I charge about $40 to put whatever the customer wants on the front of a 45 vinyl. I have gotten a lot better and am able to create practically anything the buyer wants on the records, from a simple object, to a full family portrait. I charge $40 for each record, that includes supplies and the time it takes me to make it. Because I am just starting this business, I'm only selling locally for now until I can establish a way of payment and delivery.
